Ingrained Nutrition has been practising for over 15 years. We serve the Wagga Wagga, Riverina and Murrumbidgee regions in NSW and also the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane regions in QLD.

Founded in 2009, we now comprise six Dietitians with over 30 years combined experience and a shared commitment to helping our clients to meet their health and nutrition goals.

We value speed, integrity, quality and action. Our team is agile and eager to offer our services to as many people in need, ready to change the face of dietetics and the value a dietitian can bring to your health team.

We specialise in private practice dietetics across a range of conditions, gastrointestinal (IBS/IBD/Reflux), fussy eating, picky eaters & ARFID, weight-related management, allergies & intolerances and eating disorders. Our services extend to the disability sector, menu reviews, aged care consultancy as well as medical centres in Wagga Wagga and throughout the Riverina.

Founded by owner and Dietitian Peta Cullis in 2009

Our team is capable, experienced and ready to help with your nutrition needs. We work with individuals, couples, families, children, sports people, and in the aged care and disability sectors.

Peta Cullis

Peta has been practising as a Dietitian for 15 years. Born and bred in Wagga Wagga, she has worked across a range of different industries in the disability sector, aged care, community home visits, genetic testing.

Peta is passionate about rural & regional health care and committed to private practice dietetics, starting Ingrained Nutrition in 2009. Starting out as a sole practitioner, she now supports the Ingrained Nutrition team from the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, extending the team’s dietetics services across NSW and QLD. 

Peta begun her early career in regional/rural health to oultying towns suffering with chronic health issues. She continued her training in paediatrics supporting families and kids with disordered, fussy eating, ARFID and allergies/intolerances, completing additional training as an SOS Expert Dietitian and Graduate Certificate in Paediatrics and Adolescence in 2016. Furthering her knowledge in complex care dietetics she now consults in Complex Gastronterology, Bariatric Surgery, Eating Disorders and weight-management counselling.

Peta is a media expert, a published author and invited speaker at conferences and universities across the country, and is the Clinical Lead in an allied health consultancy company. She prides herself on bringing her years of experience working in the medical field and training Dietitians and associated medical professions to ensure she fixes her clients’ symptoms and nutritional challenges, whilst collaborating with the wider medical community. Thinking outside the box and looking at the bigger picture, she is able to collaborate and advise her clients towards long lasting health and well-being.

In her spare time Peta loves playing with her four miniature goats, 12 chickens and her seven year old fun loving foodie.

Caitlin Scane

Caitlin is a Wagga local and has been working as a private practice Dietitian in Wagga Wagga for over 10 years.

Caitlin has been the leading force in the Ingrained Nutrition team in the last 5 years: she is an absolute asset and a gun Dietitian. She brings her experience, supportive and practical approach and accumulated knowledge of nutrition, applying this to real-life situations. Cait is compassionate beyond words and is driven to learn, ensuring she has the most up to date, informed evidence base when it comes to treating her clients.

Her specialised areas of nutrition are eating disorders, paediatrics and gastrointestinal health. She completed additional studies in 2017 as a FODMAP Accredited Dietitian, to treat IBS and associated gut-disorders.

In 2022 Caitlin became a Credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian. She continued to build on her skills in this space with skilled expertise in CBT, DBT & FBT approaches to disordered eating. She has a compassionate and collaborative approach to health, determined to improve the lives of all of her clients and those around them.

As a capable mum and Dietitian, raising two young girls, Caitlin can also empathise with the challenges of feeding children, and she enjoys helping both children and parents to confidently tackle fussy eating and problem feeding. She loves to work with families to make mealtimes easier at the same time as optimising their nutritional health and wellbeing.

Tracy Phegan

Tracy was born and raised in Wagga Wagga and joined the team at Ingrained Nutrition in 2023. Tracy completed her dietetics degree at Charles Sturt University in Wagga in 2004, and in her early career enjoyed working in the Riverina as both a community Dietitian and in private practice.

She took a break from dietetics to raise her two beautiful children, but always being drawn to the profession, she completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Nutrition in 2019 and returned back to practice in 2023.

She has a supportive and holistic approach, and this lends itself to supporting people through managing conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and in weight-and body-composition management.

As a mother, Tracy understands the challenges many families face to prepare nutritious, no-fuss meals with limited time. Tracy enjoys this rewarding aspect of working with individuals and families to assist them with making realistic changes that can be maintained long term.

Tracy enjoys a sneaky morning gym session, a nice glass of red, and spending time with her family and friends.

Breannah Noel

Breannah joined the team at the end of 2023, to start her career as a Dietitian in January 2024. Breannah is a Melbournite and completed her studies at Deakin University in Burwood. For her undergraduate degree she studied Health and Nutrition Sciences, and completed her Master of Dietetics in 2023.

Breannah comes to dietetics from a background in the disability sector NDIS disability support roles and believes that nourishing our bodies with food plays a role in all areas of health, not just physical but also emotional, social, intellectual, and environmental.

Breannah enjoys guiding clients of all age groups towards better health through the promotion of preventive measures. Her passion for health extends to a wide array of interests, including disordered eating, paediatrics, gut health, oncology, and women’s health. She takes pride in delivering evidence-based practice and upholds a compassionate approach in her dietetic care, ensuring her clients receive the best possible support.

In her spare time, Breannah finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, going to the gym, immersing herself in the thrills of a good book, or connecting with nature.

Bethany Johns

Bethany joined the team in April 2024, after completing her dietetics degree as top of her cohort and with Class 1 Honours from Wollongong University. This talented Dietitian is a local to the region. After growing up in Young, she lived in various regions across Australia, residing in three different states including the Northern Territory. With a love for rural health and a passion that infuses to all she meets, she brings this back to the country.

Bethany has an energy that is infectious to be around, and this filters to her clients, and approach to nutrition. A compassionate and empathetic clinician, she has a caring and considerate approach with her clients and delivers this with clear cut actions to help them achieve what they need from their consult, whatever their health goals, age and stage may be.

Bethany is an avid endurance sports person, a passionate rural health advocate and she has special interest manipulating food for sporting pursuits. She values the importance and utility of food to impact performance, the gut, the body and mind has witnessed first-hand the impact nutrition has on your overall health.

Outside of work, Bethany loves new challenges and outdoor adventures, finding joy in catching the sunrise and dancing to live music. She loves to be active and enjoys spending time with people who fill her cup.

Kara Durante

Meet Kara, our dedicated NDIS Admin Coordinator, who is passionate about helping others navigate their journeys. With extensive experience in the NDIS space, Kara ensures that clients receive tailored support to meet their unique needs while streamlining the process for families and individuals accessing NDIS funding for dietetic consultations.

As an accredited practising Dietitian, Kara utilises her qualifications with a compassionate nature and strong communication skills, making her an invaluable resource for clients and their families. She assists with everything from service agreements and navigating appointments and invoicing, as well as NDIS report writing, drawing on her expertise as a Dietitian.

Kara believes that every client deserves personalised care and works tirelessly to connect them with the right Dietitian to achieve their goals. With Kara by your side, you can trust that you’re in caring and capable hands.

In her spare time Kara is an AFL superstar and loves to remain active while spending time with family and friends. She enjoys a range of hobbies from playing guitar and piano to surfing. As an avid learner, you will often find her exploring one of the various topics that pique her interest.

Jess Ford

Jess is a warm and approachable Kiwi Dietitian who made her way to Australia in 2023, and joined the Ingrained Nutrition team in Brisbane in late 2024.

She earned her degrees in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, and gained valuable experience working in public health in Wellington. After a rewarding six-month backpacking adventure abroad, Jess settled in sunny Brisbane, where she kick-started her clinical practice with Ingrained Nutrition.

With a holistic and patient-centred approach, Jess is passionate about sustainable, habit-based nutrition interventions and improving food environments. She enjoys diversity in her practice though also has a particular interest in chronic diseases, gut health, disability support, oncology, and women’s health, including pregnancy and early-life nutrition.

An avid adventurer, Jess loves spending her weekends hiking, camping, doing yoga/pilates, and catching up with friends for a vino. She is also currently learning Spanish at a local language centre, aiming to become fluent in the next few years.

Courtney Lippiatt

Courtney is the friendly face behind the scenes at Ingrained Nutrition, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. With an extensive background in administration, she excels at managing the day-to-day operations, from booking appointments to coordinating schedules and handling the finer details that keep the team organised. Courtney’s ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of precision has made her an indispensable part of the team, and her positive attitude shines through in everything she does.

Courtney is known for her strong organizational skills and her talent for streamlining processes to make sure clients receive the best possible care. She takes pride in ensuring that every interaction runs smoothly, whether it’s scheduling appointments, managing client communications, or supporting the team with whatever they need to deliver exceptional service. 

Outside of the office, Courtney is equally committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She’s passionate about fitness and can often be found at the gym or out for long walks with her beloved dog, Ava. Courtney believes in the importance of staying active, not only for physical health but for mental well-being as well, and she brings that same energy and focus to her work.

With a love for helping others and a keen eye for detail, Courtney is always looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the team and ensure that everything runs like clockwork. Her passion for organization, combined with her fitness enthusiasm and love for her four-legged companion, makes her an essential part of the Ingrained Nutrition team, where she’s always ready to lend a hand and keep things moving forward.
