  • 500g lean lamb mince
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 1/2 cup wholemeal bread crumbs or almond meal
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2tsp ground cumin
  • 1tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 spanish onion finely diced
  • Greek yoghurt and salad of choice to serve


  1. Heat a large frying pan with olive oil or alternatively, BBQ
  2. Combine lamb, onion and spices in a bowl, mix through egg and breadcrumbs and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Divide the mixture into 8 and roll into fat sausages and skewer
  4. Cook, in frying pan, turning regularly until cooked through
  5. Serve with Greek yoghurt and quinoa or cous-cous salad, include vegetables high in vitamin c such as broccoli and cauliflower for enhanced iron absorption
